ELIGIBILITY:
1. Applicant must be from a Montana home.
2. Applicant must attend an accredited Montana institution of
post-secondary education, either public or private.
3. Applicant must be at least a sophomore in college. Preference will
be given to applicants majoring in a field beneficial to the livestock
industry.
4. Applicant must have a college grade point average of 2.7 or better.
5. Applicant must have a reasonable need of financial aid.
6. A student from AG-oriented family may be given preference.
7. Members or children of members of Montana CattleWomen, Inc. may be
given preference.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All applications and required information shall be mailed to the
Scholarship Committee or the Montana CattleWomen, Inc. Office (420 N.
California, Helena 59601) postmarked no later than March 15.
2. Letters of recommendation are to be included in the applicant's
folder. Letters must be placed in an envelope and sealed by the signer.
3. We request that your application be securely fastened in a folder.
4. All information from a student should be typed unless otherwise
indicated.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:
I. Applicant's personal resume
A. Name, address, phone number, place and date

B. Parent's names, address(es), and

C. Applicant's education
1. High school(s) attended,
location and dates

and dates
II. Academic resume
A. Copies of high school and college
transcripts.
B. Brief summary of activities, honors and
awards

2. How did one of these affect
your ideas and attitudes?

D. Major and minor fields of study
III. Personal profile
A. An essay of not more than 300 words on a
topic of interest to the livestock industry that discusses your
potential
to affect this and/or other issues for the benefit of agriculture and
the
livestock industry.

B. Enclose a clear picture
IV. Applicant's financial status
A. Letter (200 words) from a parent or another
representing:
1. Picture of the family situation

for your college fees?
D. Do you have a Pell grant? Have you received
other grants or financial awards?
